Background of Condo & HOA Smart and Gail Pizetoski

Condo & HOA Smart was founded by Gail Pizetoski, CPA, CMCA, AMS, RE Broker, to provide important information for potential homebuyers in condominium and homeowners associations.

Gail Pizetoski has been a CPA for over 30 years and a NC Real Estate Broker for 10 years. After she founded a Community Association management company in 2002, she earned both the AMS (Association Management Specialist) and the CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) designations from the Community Association Institute (CAI-Industry Trade Group).

During the last 30 years, Gail gained broad experience by working with over 400 associations, thousands of homeowners, individual tax clients, and small businesses. Her experience includes performing Condo & HOA Association audits, reviews, compilations, preparing their tax returns, managing community associations, daily/monthly accounting, consulting for management companies and Board Member Training.

Throughout this extensive industry experience, Gail heard many horror stories. Stories of how homeowners realized shortly after they moved in that their dog was too large and not allowed, or the chain link fence they want isn’t allowed and they can’t afford the approved one, or it is against the rules to park their commercial truck in their driveway even if they use it to commute to work, or how regular maintenance had not been done and now the Board is considering a special assessment for major repairs or the pool won’t open.

Gail’s mission is to ensure that this type of information is available – as early in the Buying process as possible. It is too late to learn the answers after you close on your new home.
